MPC puts on a wide variety of programs throughout the year. Here is just a sampler of some of the recent topics:
- Travel around the world: Africa, Australia, Yugoslavia, Utah, Alaska, the Galapagos.
- Nature programs from the Blue Jays in your backyard, to exotic species around the globe.
- Workshops on Night Photography, Montaging, Cropping, Filters, and Contemporary.
- Digital Imaging - the darkroom is slowly being replaced by the computer. Are you ready?
- National Parks, Covered Bridges, Equipment, Posterization. If you don't see it, suggest it!
Or if you're just in the mood for a spectacular slide show, come to one of the International Salons. See what photographers all over the world are doing. We host several here at MPC, including Ridgewood, Teaneck, and Garden State.
If you're looking to get out and shoot, members often organize photographic outing amongst themselves. The Bronx Zoo, the New York Skyline from Liberty State Park, the local duck pond. It's not hard to find someone else interested in grabbing a camera for a day trip.
Activities and policies are planned by an annually elected executive board, but members are encouraged to make suggestions on any of the club's operations. One of MPC's greatest strengths is the involvement of its members.
