“Dozen - Diminishing Eggs“ by Laura Warren

“I was interested in what happens when repetition is paired with gradual disappearance. Typology's power lies in repetition—presenting similar subjects consistently makes subtle differences more visible. As the eggs diminish from frame to frame, an ordinary carton becomes a study in pattern, rhythm, and absence, turning something completely familiar into something unexpectedly visual.”

Creating a Typology
Typology uses repetition to make subtle differences more visible. In my egg series, the eggs gradually disappear, turning an ordinary carton into a study of pattern, rhythm, and absence.
For a simpler alternative, PicMonkey offers online photo editing and easy drag-and-drop grids that work well for typologies, diptychs, triptychs, and other creative collages.
